Groups and Workshops

Events at Discovery Family Therapy

Alongside one to one counselling, we run groups and workshops at our South Perth rooms. They are a way to meet other people who understand what you are carrying, at a lower cost than individual sessions.

What is on now

Each group is booked one session at a time, so you can come to the dates that suit you. All sessions run in person at Suite 5, 95 Canning Highway, South Perth, close to Como, Applecross, Victoria Park and Mount Pleasant.

More groups and workshops are coming

Further groups and workshops are being planned for the months ahead. This page is where they will be listed, so it is worth checking back. If there is something you would find useful, tell us and we will take it into account when we plan the next one.

What a group is like

Small by design

Groups are kept small enough that everyone has room, with counsellors facilitating rather than teaching.

Listening counts

You are welcome to sit with a group without speaking. There is no expectation to share anything you have not chosen to share.

Booked per session

You book the dates you want rather than committing to a whole series, and you pay for each session as you go.

Alongside counselling, not instead of it

Group support and one to one counselling do different things. Some people use one, some use both.

Not sure if a group is right for you?

Tell us what has been happening and we will talk through whether a group, one to one counselling, or both would suit you better.
