Grief Outreach Group
A fortnightly grief support group for adults, in person in South Perth. Two hours on a Friday morning with other people who are grieving, held by two counsellors. First session Friday 25 September 2026.
Grief can be isolating. The people around you carry on, the conversations move to other things, and the loss stays with you. This group is two hours every fortnight where that is understood without you having to explain it.
For adults in Perth who are grieving a death, a relationship, a diagnosis, a role or a future that has changed.
There is no set programme and no planned content. Each session follows what the people in the room bring on the day.
Ken Byrne and Nadia Kidgell facilitate together, holding the structure, the time and the boundaries of the room.
The group runs with 6 to 10 people, which keeps it small enough that everyone has room.
You are welcome to sit with the group without speaking. There is no expectation to share anything you have not chosen to share.
Each session is booked on its own. Come to one, come to all four, or come back when you want to.
Book online or call us. There is no assessment to pass and no GP referral to organise first.
Four sessions are scheduled to start with. The group runs fortnightly on a Friday morning at the Discovery Family Therapy rooms in South Perth, close to Como, Applecross, Victoria Park and Mount Pleasant.
$88.00 per person per session, paid per session rather than for the whole series.
Adults. The group is not run for children or teenagers.
Discovery Family Therapy, Suite 5, 95 Canning Highway, South Perth WA 6151. In person only.
6 to 10 people per session, with two counsellors facilitating.
