Adults, Couples, Addiction, Grief & Loss, Trauma & Recovery
This may be right for you if…
-
You are navigating alcohol addiction or recovery and want support that does not shame or rush you
-
You are carrying grief, trauma, or loss that feels too heavy to sit with alone
-
You are a man who has been managing on your own for too long, and something needs to shift
-
You want to understand the patterns and beliefs that keep pulling you back to the same place
-
You are open to a deeper kind of conversation, one that looks at why, not just what
Ken's Approach
Ken’s approach is calm, reflective, and collaborative. He works alongside you to gently explore what sits beneath the surface, helping you make sense of your thoughts, emotions, and patterns in a way that feels manageable and respectful.
Sessions move at your pace, with a focus on building clarity, stability, and practical direction. Together, you work toward meaningful goals that support real and lasting change.

Clients often describe Ken as

Most meaningful achievements
My meaningful achievements are my clients. Those I remember, who reached out to me for help and for whom I sometimes went above and beyond to support, but who then went on to enrich my life with great memories
What makes me unique
Rather than applying a single model, I listen carefully to what each person brings and find the approach that actually fits their life. I draw on Gestalt, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, SFBT, Attachment and Schema work, and Spiritual Integration, among others. For clients with big questions alongside practical ones, questions about meaning, identity, and what genuine wellbeing looks like, there is room for both.
One quirky fact
I enjoy quiet evenings with music, good food, and time to reflect.

What to Expect in Your First Session
Your first session is a chance to talk through what’s been happening in a calm and supportive space. There is no pressure to have everything figured out.

We will explore what has brought you here, what feels most important right now, and what you would like support with. From there, we can begin to shape a direction that feels manageable and right for you.

You can move at your own pace, and the focus is on helping you feel comfortable, understood, and supported from the very beginning.

Family & Mental Health Resources
Rather than offering quick fixes or advice, these resources aim to support understanding.
Distress is explored in context, including relationships, development, nervous systems, and life circumstances, with care taken to avoid pathologising language or fear-based messaging.
New articles are added as needed, not on a fixed schedule.
Our clinicians are accredited members of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) and registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
