My Story

My favourite thing about being a counsellor:

It is an honour to support individuals in their life struggles and help them to navigate difficult times, find greater clarity, and see them thrive and gain the confidence and hope that allows them to live the life they desire and become the person they wish to be.

What is unique about me as a counsellor?

I prefer to take a less clinical approach and meet a person where they are in a more down-to-earth manner. Drawing from my own lived experiences with many of the concerns I support individuals through, I offer empathetic and heartfelt guidance. My goal is to create a safe and trusting space where individuals feel truly heard, supported, and comfortable opening up at their own pace.

What are my goals?

My goal as a counsellor is to ensure that individuals feel supported and not alone in their struggles. My aim is to ensure that individuals feel in control of their own lives and that their counselling journey is directed by them. I want individuals to feel truly heard, valued and understood.

Most impressive Achievements?

For me, it’s the simple things - making it through life!! Coming from an extremely difficult childhood, surviving traumatic events and coming out stronger, more determined and with more insight and self-awareness.

Being a Mum has to be one of the most impressive achievements, as well as giving my fur babies the best life.

Gaining career success as a Counsellor, Lecturer and Counselling Supervisor, with little support and reflecting on where I have come from and where I am now, brings a sense of fulfillment and pride. That’s not to say life is not a struggle, but I am proud of what I have overcome to get where I am; it wasn’t easy.

My little claim to fame is a bit of acting alongside a now Hollywood Movie star. I won’t mention names! But some wonderful memories were made when getting involved on set when my son was younger and doing some acting gigs.

One quirky fact about me?

I am a mad dog lover! I will do anything for my dogs, and you can distract me within seconds if you start talking to me about your pets!
